In Verona, the ongoing feud between the Montague and Capulet families is disrupted when Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet fall instantly and passionately in love at a party. Despite their families' hatred, they secretly marry, but tragedy strikes when Romeo is exiled for killing Juliet's cousin, Tybalt. Juliet fakes her death to avoid a forced marriage, but Romeo, unaware of the plan, finds her tomb and commits suicide.
